Sharing the difficulties with flood victims, Starmed Pharmaceutical Group launched the program “Journey of Love” to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Timely action after super typhoon Yagi
After super typhoon Yagi and floods hit, causing serious damage to many northern provinces, Starmed Pharmaceutical launched the program “Journey of Love – Towards flood victims” to mobilize the cooperation of all staff across the country.
Ms. Hoang Thi Dieu Huyen, Deputy General Director of STARMED Group, shared: “Following the flood situation in the past few days, we are extremely heartbroken. All the cash and goods we donate will be used to buy rice, medicine, food and other necessities, and give cash to affected families. In addition, supporting the reconstruction of life such as rebuilding bridges, roads, schools and stations is also a top priority”.

On September 11, Starmed Pharmaceuticals quickly deployed support in Yen Bai and Thai Nguyen areas. Life jackets and necessities were quickly transported to the locality, contributing to supporting the emergency rescue work. In addition, the group also donated catheters – one of the essential medical equipment – to Bao Yen District Hospital, Lao Cai to support health care for people in severely affected areas.
In addition, with the goal of reducing the burden on partners who suffered heavy losses, Starmed Pharmaceuticals issued a document recalling Dr.Papie, Dr.WET products… damaged by storms and floods, replacing them with new products of the same type for customers, agents, pharmacies, and mother and baby supermarkets.

The product recall program has helped distributors feel more secure in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods, and also demonstrated STARMED’s sense of responsibility and solidarity in supporting partners to overcome difficulties.
Close coordination with the health sector
Not only limited to the internal scope, STARMED Pharmaceuticals and other units have coordinated with the Ministry of Health and the Health & Life Newspaper to organize a relief team to Viet Thanh commune, Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province. This is a locality that was severely affected when more than 3,800 households were flooded and completely isolated due to the storm.

At the gift-giving ceremony, hundreds of gifts including medicines and medical equipment were sent to 12 medical facilities and households in Viet Thanh commune. This is an extremely necessary support in the context of the local health system being under great pressure.

Along with the relief team, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Permanent Deputy Minister of Health, expressed his emotion at the losses and damages of the people in the flood-hit areas, and highly appreciated the spirit of sharing of STARMED Pharmaceuticals and its partners. Mr. Tuyen affirmed that these actions have profound humanistic values and contribute significantly to helping people overcome difficulties.
Extending the journey of love
Following Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Starmed Pharmaceuticals’ charity trips continued to the provinces of Bac Giang, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang – places that also suffered heavy damage due to the circulation of storm No. 3. In collaboration with Phu Tho Pharmaceutical Company, Khang Baby shop, Starmed Pharmaceuticals brought essential gifts to the people, including medicines and health protection foods.
Starmed’s practical actions in the spirit of sharing and mutual love have been contributing to the authorities and people in the flood-hit areas to reduce difficulties, stabilize their lives and restore production and business activities. Starmed will continue to update the flood damage situation in the localities to have appropriate and effective support activities.
