On the morning of May 17, STARMED Pharmaceutical Group cooperated with the Starlight Charity Club and local departments and agencies to successfully organize the inauguration ceremony of Nhot Kho school, Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district, Nghe An province.
Bac Ly is a border commune of Ky Son district (Nghe An), located in a particularly difficult area and also a poor commune of Ky Son district. The material life of the Kho Mu, Mong, Thai ethnic groups here is still very lacking. Most of the people in the commune are poor, especially the harsh climate is not less than that of the northern mountainous provinces, plus heavy rain and flash floods. Nhot Kho is a particularly difficult village of Bac Ly commune, located nearly 52km from the district center, where the majority of Mong people live, the school currently has 2 teachers teaching 36 students.
In previous years, the facilities of Nhot Kho school were still facing many difficulties. Due to being built a long time ago, the school was seriously degraded, a wooden school with a dirt floor and patched canvas panels to protect against wind and dew, not meeting the needs of students’ study and living.
Understanding and sharing the difficulties of teachers and students here, STARMED Pharmaceutical Group and philanthropists through the Anh Sao Club have sponsored funds to rebuild the entire school. The project started in February 2025, with a construction scale of 2 solidly built classrooms, 2 dormitories for teachers with closed toilets, classrooms fully equipped with equipment such as: pull-out boards, tables and chairs, TVs, light bulbs, ceiling fans, with a total investment of 600 million VND. Up to now, after 3 months of construction, the project has been completed and handed over for use in the joy and excitement of students, teachers and local people. Helping teachers and students of Nhot Kho village school have a new, clean and beautiful school.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa – Principal of the school expressed his emotion at the sponsors’ affection for the school; At the same time, he affirmed that the project has great significance, helping teachers and students to study with peace of mind and continue to “stick” to high scores, bringing letters to ethnic minority children. Having a spacious, clean school with better teaching and learning conditions has long been the dream of students and teachers at Nhot Kho School, Bac Ly, Ky Son, Nghe An. And now, that dream has become a reality.
Also on the occasion of the new school year summary, STARMED Pharmaceutical Group sent meaningful gifts to the children, such as: Books, school supplies, clothes, candy, vitamins, etc. This small care and help has helped teachers and students have a spacious school and less difficulty in teaching; is a source of great encouragement and motivation for the staff, teachers and students of the whole school.
