On the occasion of “World Premature Day” on November 17, Dr.Papie brand of STARMED Pharmaceutical Group presented 150 gifts to premature babies at the National Children’s Hospital.
According to statistics from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), each year in the world there are about 15 million premature babies, or 1 in 10 babies born prematurely. To date, premature birth has become the leading cause of death in newborns and the second leading cause of death in children under 5 years old. In Vietnam, the rate of premature births is about 7%, each year there are about 100,000 – 110,000 premature babies and 17,000 babies die within 28 days after birth.
Raising premature babies is always a long and difficult journey, requiring patience and relentless efforts on the line between life and death from the baby himself, the medical team, and the family.

With the aim of accompanying and sharing the difficulties and risks with premature babies and their families, on November 17, a representative of the Dr.Papie brand (under STARMED Pharmaceutical Group) visited and presented 150 gifts to premature babies at the National Children’s Hospital. Each gift includes: Dr.Papie herbal bath and shampoo, Dr.Papie 0+ tongue swab and Dr.Papie 0+ fever-reducing towel. Meanwhile, Dr. Papie tongue cleaning gauze is the first moist gauze in Vietnam to be granted a patent by the Intellectual Property Office, providing a pioneering solution in protecting and caring for the oral cavity of children from birth, preventing tongue fungus, stomatitis, and preventing early tooth decay in children. Finally, Dr.Papie 0+ fever-reducing towel is a safe physical fever-reducing measure with a safe herbal system from Eclipta prostrata, perilla, lemon essence… to help babies reduce heat, reduce fever, as well as clean, cool and reduce itching in the baby’s skin with prickly heat, pimples, diaper rash, dermatitis…
Dr.Papie brand representative shared: the gift is the passion of the business leadership team with the desire to send love to the brave warriors who cried out when they were born when they were only 500 grams, 600 grams… to honor the resilience of mothers who have just gone through a meaningful journey of giving birth, while also sharing a small part of the material and bringing spiritual motivation to the families of the babies in the daily care process.
“Dr.Papie is honored to be a companion of the Neonatal Center – National Children’s Hospital on World Premature Infant Day on November 17 this year. We wish to spread the spirit of “sharing love” to help families take care of their babies in the best way, overcome challenges and welcome a new beautiful life”, said a representative of the Dr.Papie brand.

Each gift is a “national” product such as Dr.Papie oral gauze, Dr.Papie herbal shampoo, Dr.Papie fever-reducing towel, Pibakiz multivitamin to increase resistance, etc. to help children take care of and protect their overall health.
“In the coming time, Dr.Papie hopes to continue to accompany parents and sick children nationwide, because we believe that businesses not only create economic values but also have to fulfill their community responsibilities and spread humane values to society”, the representative of the Dr.Papie brand affirmed.
